Postnatal Yoga
Postnatal yoga helps to restrengthen the core muscles in the abdomen and pelvic floor, realign posture and build strength and flexibility to manage the demands of looking after a new baby. There is also plenty of relaxation and an opportunity to build friendships both for yourself and your little one.
Postnatal/Mummy and Baby Yoga is suitable from 6 weeks after giving birth subject to having had your 6 week check up with your GP. If you have had a cesarean you may need to wait a few more weeks.
I'm not running a weekly post natal class currently (2019) but I would be more than happy to work on a bespoke basis with a group of mummy friends looking for a semi-private class.

Mummy and Baby Yoga
It is well documented that touch, movement and relaxation time between babies and their caregivers is hugely beneficial for bonding, development and wellbeing. Being a new mummy is an all encompassing experience, especially the first time around, with a whole host of new skills to learn and it is difficult to fit in relaxation - or even know what and how to do it. Mummy and baby yoga classes incorporate fun movements with your baby, baby massage and post natal yoga for you to aid your postnatal recovery. Classes are led so you can switch off your thinking brain, relax and enjoy some time being close to your baby whilst sharing experiences and developing friendships with other mummies and babies in the class.
